Place of origin: Constantinople, Byzantine Empire 476–1453. Description: lower edge of slab chipped; preserved part cracked transversely halfway up. Upper part above inscription bears three symmetrically arranged Maltese crosses. Dimensions: height 29.5 cm, width 29.5 cm, depth 2.0 cm., A rectangular slab of pale stone with a rough edge, showing a group of shallow carved crosses near the top and several rows of incised markings across the surface; the stone has a marbled texture with streaks and patches of light gray and off-white, with areas of beige and faint brown discoloration, and the carvings appear filled with a slightly darker beige residue.
