Amphora, unknown Gazan workshop Gaza Strip — Large LRA 4 amphora of a spindle-shaped form, almost cylindrical in the central part. Hemispherical shoulders; conical, flat-topped lower part. Rim weakly accentuated, rounded, with slightly thickened edge. Two loop handles placed in the upper part, reinforced below with added clay. Ceramic fabric likely contains limestone inclusions visible on the surface. Outer surface beige-orange, upper part covered with slipped/soaked clay to produce a rough finish. Ribs visible in upper and lower parts; deep grooves in the lower portion. Interior coated with black resin impregnation, some resin leaked onto the shoulder. Near one handle a small, barely visible Coptic inscription in black ink; a large inscription in red paint runs along the vessel, though no inscriptions were recorded on the amphora. Dimensions: height 75.3 cm; rim diameter 10.0 cm; body diameter 23.6 cm; base diameter 2.5 cm., A tall, elongated ceramic amphora with a narrow pointed base and rounded shoulder, shown against a plain gray background; the vessel's surface is mostly a warm tan with areas of lighter beige and pale cream, streaks and patches of darker brown near the top including a vertical dark brown drip, and faint whitish repair lines and hairline cracks visible across its body, plus a small rounded handle near the neck that shares the tan color and shows darker brown discoloration at its attachment.
