Seal, unknown South Egyptian workshop; pyramidal clay seal with a roughly square stamp surface, rounded corners; shallow incisions at mid-height; on the base an engraved letter possibly a geometrical B or an M resting on the base with a small round recess beside it; upper part is impressed, chippings on the base; visible kaolin clay, pink-beige; 6th–7th century; Edfu; seals, geometric decorations, monograms, engraved decorations, stamp impressions, stamps; seal/stamp; height 6.1 cm, width 5.5 cm, A roughly trapezoidal fragment of pottery floats against a neutral background. The fragment has a coarse, textured surface in shades of brown and tan with subtle darker brown areas and small speckles. The edges are worn and irregular, with a chipped corner showing a slightly lighter interior. There are a few shallow incised lines on the fragment’s face and faint darker smudges near one edge. The background appears as a smooth expanse of muted gray.
