Seal, unknown South Egyptian workshop, pyramidal clay seal with a roughly square stamp surface and rounded corners. Shallow incisions at mid-height. On the base is an engraved letter—either a geometric B or an M resting on the base—next to a small round recess. Upper part is impressed; chippings on the base. Visible kaolin clay, pink-beige. 6th–7th century, Edfu; seal/stamp. Height 6.1 cm, width 5.5 cm., A roughly rectangular, weathered object with an uneven surface floats against a plain gray background; the object appears mostly brown with variations of tan and darker brown mottling, and a few faint areas of reddish discoloration.
