Amphora, unknown Egyptian workshop; transport vessel with a bulging belly, fusiform in the lower part below the point of greatest diameter. Tulip-shaped rim with a chipped finial, set on a cylindrical neck. Loop handles attached to the neck and shoulders. Entire brown, even surface covered with dense fluting. Interior impregnated with black resin, streaks visible on the outside. Conical foot missing; supplemented and reconstructed from plaster. Nile clay, Nile pottery mass Naqlun AC1A, AE/ type amphora, Coptic vessel, 7th–early 8th century, Edfu; vessel amphora, height 45+ cm preserved, lip diameter 5.2 cm, body diameter 21.4 cm., A tall, elongated ceramic vessel with a rounded shoulder tapering to a pointed base, featuring horizontal ridged bands running along its entire height; the neck is short with a broken, irregular rim and a tab-like handle fragment near the top. The surface shows a mix of earthy colors including terracotta, light brown, and darker brown patches, with small whitish spots and areas of subtle darker smudging; the background is a smooth neutral gray.
