Adonia falls in love with Abisach beauty from Sunem that took care of David in his old age. After the death of David, Adonias asks Batseba widow of David to ask her son Solomon for permission to marry Adonia with Abishach. Solomon gently received his mother's first kneel before her and then had throne put before her beside his. At the request of Batseba on behalf of Adonia, however, he reacted extremely aggressively. If Batseba pleaded for Adonia, he could just as well give Adonia the kingship. Adonia was then killed by order of Solomon.
