Gauls, led by Brennus, besieged Rome. In front of Roman's resistance, they decide to negociate: Gauls will leave in return for an huge ransom, 1000 gold pounds. Brennus laid down his sword and his belt on the balance to increase the weight and he pronounced "Vae Victis".
