Roland Dorgelès, born Roland Lecavelé (1885-1973). French journalist and writer. Recipient of the War Cross. Member of the Goncourt Academy from 1929 to 1973; he became its president in 1954. Founded in 1996, the Prix Roland Dorgelès distinguishes two audio-visual professionals a year for their dedication to the quality of the French language.
