Eugène Rouher (1814-1884). French politician and man of law, he was one of the most influential men of the Second Empire. Keeper of the Seals (Minister of Justice) under Louis Napoléon Bonaparte, he actively contributed to the installation of an authoritarian empire and occupied various posts. With the fall of the empire, he became one of the head chiefs of the Bonapartist Party.
