'Greek Open Air Theatre, Vermont Ave Entrance to Griffith Park - Again - "Arabian Nights Fantasy" "The Teller of Tales" - cast of 110 - Special Orchestra - Federal Stage Shows Div. of W.P.A.'. The Federal Theatre Project, created by the US Works Progress Administration in 1935, was designed to conserve and develop the skills of theatre workers, re-employ them on public relief, and to bring theatre to thousands in the United States who had never before seen live theatrical performances.
