Machine for punching tickets used by African-American porter Thomas McCord on the Pullman railway service. Being a Pullman porter was one of the jobs that helped build the black middle class in America, and Pullman porters were key figures in the civil-rights movement. A chrome finish hand-held single hole punch with a Pullman Company inscription at the tip of the lever handle.
