San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge at twilight, San Francisco, California, USA, 1957. Vintage postcard showing the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge aglow with twinkling lights as it crosses the bay. The city and mountains are visible in the distance. Designed by Charles H Purcell, the Bay Bridge opened to traffic in 1936, six months before the Golden Gate Bridge.
