Ford Trimotor plane about to depart from an airfield, c1932. Nicknamed the 'Tin Goose', the Ford Trimotor was designed by William B Stout and was manufactured by the Ford Motor Company. The aircraft carried twelve passengers and cruised at 125 miles per hour. 199 were built between 1925 and 1933.
