'School Yard and Lupton's Tower', 1926. Roger Lupton (1456-1539/40) was an English lawyer and cleric who was appointed as Provost of Eton College (1503/4-1535). Lupton's Tower, a bell tower built in 1520 by Henry Redman provided extra accommodation for the provost and head of the College. The School Yard dates from the 1480s.
