Fakirs at Amritsar, looking south across the Sacred Tank to the Golden Temple, India, c1900s(?). Stereoscopic card. The Golden Temple at Amritsar is the principal shrine of the Sikh religion. The temple was built between 1588 and 1601, during the time of the fifth Sikh Guru, Guru Anjan.
