Wanted poster for the outlaw Tom Nixon, c1877 (1954). Nixon was a member of the Sam Bass outlaw gang that robbed a Union Pacific train at Big Springs, Nebraska, on 18th September 1877, stealing $60,000. Nixon escaped to Canada after the robbery and was never heard from again. A print from the Pictorial History of the Wild West, by James D Horan and Paul Sann, Spring Books, London, 1954.
