Troops defending New Zealand Hill, Slingersfontein, South Africa, 25th January 1900. View showing hills in the distance held by the Worcestershire Regiment. The hills around Slingersfontein in the northern Cape Colony were the scene of fierce fighting in early 1900. The defenders were forced off New Zealand Hill by the Boers on 12th February.
