Major General Charles WH Douglas, Commanding 9th Brigade, South Africa Field Force, 1902. Douglas served as a 92nd Highlander in Afghanistan, and as Adjutant-General and brigade commander in South Africa. He also assisted in the organisation of Kitchener's new army in 1914, the year he died.
