Circular copper incense box with prunus, Late Ming dynasty, China, early 17th century. A small circular copper incense box. The cover is decorated with a flowering prunus branch in low relief on a diaper patterned background with single key fret band at the rim. The lower part has a pronounced inward curving rim decorated on the exterior with a single key fret band. The diaper is in imitation of the diaper found on Ming lacquer.
