Title
Reculver Towers, Kent, 2010
Caption
Reculver Towers and Roman Fort, Kent. Reculver Towers are the remainder of St Mary's Church, Reculver, which was founded in the 7th century but was demolished in 1809 due to the threat of coastal erosion. The church was built within the perimeter of an earlier Roman fort, which provided some of its original building materials. This view shows the west of the interior face of the church.
