Caption

Starting grid of the French Grand Prix, Le Mans, 1967. The race was held for the first time at the new Bugatti au Mans circuit, which used the famous start/finish line of the classic 24 Hour Race circuit, but included a new section which was regarded by drivers and spectators alike as too twisty for exciting racing, leading many of the public to stay away. The race featured a one-two for the Brabham-Repco team, with Jack Brabham the winner ahead of his team-mate Denny Hulme, who went on to win the World Drivers' Championship.
