Caption
Two women in an 11.9 hp Calcott, c1922. Like many early car makers, Calcott had previously made bicycles. The small company became one of hundreds of car makers in the 1920s, producing cars for the mass market. The models ranged from light 10.5 hp cars, to the 2.5 litre 16 hp intended for the prosperous owner. 2,500 Calcotts were made before Singer acquired the company in 1926.
