1956 Austin Healey 100-BN2. Donald Healey planned to launch his new Healey 100 sports car at the 1952 London Motor Show, but after discovery by Leonard Lord, the chairman of Austin, the car became the Austin Healey 100. Several variations on the original 100 were to follow and the initial models are now known as the BN1 (1953-55) and BN2 (1955-56) respectively. The body featured a simple, open, two seater roadster design with clean cut, modern lines, and the car was powered by a tuned version of Austin's 4 cylinder 2660cc engine. The Austin Healey 100 established itself quickly as a serious contender in the British sports car market.
