The Long Gallery, Kirby Hall, Northamptonshire, 1998. Kirby Hall was built in the late 16th century as a fashionable country house. The long gallery was one of the most important rooms in a 16th century house. At Kirby Hall it occupied the whole of the first floor of the west wing, and had a barrel-shaped decorated plaster ceiling. The House fell into decay from the late 18th century.
