Louis XI of France, "the Cautious", born on the 3rd July 1423 in Bourges, died on the 30th August 1483 at the Plessis-lez-Tours Castle (commune of La Riche, Indre-et-Loire), was King of France from 1461 to 1483, sixth King of the Valois line of the Capetian dynasty.
