Crown of the Goth Kings.
Title

Crown of the Goth Kings.

Caption

Crown of the Goth Kings. The Goths made up part of the Germanic people, according to their traditions they were originally from Scandanavia, and are reffered to as the Goths from Scandanavia. They are said to have perhaps come from the île de Gotland, but could equally have originally emigrated from Götaland in southern Sweden, or the north of current-day Poland. At the beginning of their era, they settled in the region of the estuary of Vistula (in the north of current-day Poland). Written accounts have been found mentioning them in ancient texts belonging to geographers under the name "Gutonen" (gothic: gutans, Gutans) - Tacite, La Germanie. 19th Century engraving.
