"Parma and Alexandre Farnèse". Alexandre Farnèse, in italian Alessandro Farnese, was an italian nobleman born on the 28th August 1545 in Rome (Italy) and died on the 2nd December 1592 in Saint-Waast (Netherlands). He was the third Duke of Parma, Piacenza, Castro and Ronciglione, and was governor for the Netherlands. He was the son of Ottavio Farnese (1524-1586), Duke of Camerino, Prefect of Rome, Parma, Piacenza, Castro and Ronciglione, and of Margaret of Austria, she herself the daughter of Charles Quint.
