Erbario di Trento (Manoscritto n° 1591), XVI secolo, carta 17 verso: “Superna”.
“Ad sanandum omnem infirmitatem, cuiuscun-
que modi sit, ista herba est apropriata, si eam
operare debes secundus infirmitatem. Si infir-
mitas est in corpore, de ista herba debes co-
medere. Sy surdus, in aure ponere debes et sic
debes operari in omnem infirmitatem.
Nasitur in montibus ubi nascitur marmotus.”
La traduzione è: “Questa erba è adatta a sanare ogni tipo di infermità e la devi usare (in maniera diversa) a seconda del tipo di male. Se il male è nel corpo, devi mangiare quest’erba. Se sei sordo, la devi porre nell’orecchio, e così devi fare per ogni tipo di infermità. Nasce sui monti dove vive la marmotta”.

“This herb is suitable for healing every kind of ailment, and you should use it (differently) depending on the type of ailment. If the ailment is in the body, you should eat this herb. If you are deaf, you should place it in your ear, and you should do the same for every kind of ailment. It grows in the mountains where the marmot lives.”
