“Si quem momorderit bissa aut serpens,accipe
folia ystius herbe et emplastrentur super mor-
suram: subito removet dolorem et venenum
et inflamentum morsure et est probatum. Et
quando coligitur ista herba debent dicy ista
verba claria: "Ecogerò te herba tors per
deum vivum patrem nostrum ut venias ad me
com omnia tua virtute dicta superius. Vos si-
tis quos ego precor vos et peto". Pro omny
macula oculorum accipe sucum istius herbe
cum bono vino per mixtum per XV dierum
spacium: sanabitur et clarificabitur oculi et est
probatum.
Vascitur in montibus altis et frigidis.”

La traduzione è “Se qualcuno fosse morsicato da una biscia o da un serpente, prendi le foglie di quest’erba e fanne un impiastro sopra il morso: toglierà subito il dolore ed il veleno ed il gonfiore del morso. Ed è cosa provata. E quando si raccogli quest’erba, si debbono dire chiaramente queste parole: “Ti raccoglierò, erba tors, per il Dio vivo, padre nostro, affinché tu venga a me con tutte le sue virtù. Siete voi quelli a cui io rivolgo la mia preghiera e la mia invocazione”. Per ogni macchia degli occhi prendi il succo di quest’erba mista con vino buono: in 15 giorni guarirà e gli occhi si schiariranno. Ed è cosa provata. Nasce sui monti alti e freddi”.

“If someone is bitten by a grass snake or a serpent, take the leaves of this herb and make a poultice on the bite: it will immediately take away the pain, the poison, and the swelling of the bite. And this is proven. And when you gather this herb, you must clearly say these words: ‘I will gather you, erba tors, for the living God, our Father, so that you may come to me with all his virtues. It is you to whom I direct my prayer and my invocation.’ For every stain of the eyes, take the juice of this herb mixed with good wine: in 15 days it will heal and the eyes will clear. And this is proven. It grows on high, cold mountains.”
