Erbario di Trento (Manoscritto n° 1591), XVI secolo, carta 15 verso: “Trifolio”.
“Ad sanandum oculum maculatum, accipe folia
istius herbe et fac pulverem et de pulvere isto
pone in oculo: sanabitur per quindecim die-
rum et probatum est.
Nascitur herba ista in terenis salvaticis.”
La traduzione è: “Per sanare l’occhio macchiato, prendi le foglie di questa erba e fanne polvere e metti un po’ di questa polvere nell’occhio: guarirà in quindici giorni, ed è cosa provata. Quest’erba nasce in terreni incolti”.

“To heal a stained eye, take the leaves of this herb and make a powder, and put a little of this powder in the eye: it will heal in fifteen days, and it is proven. This herb grows in uncultivated lands."
