Fidenza, duomo (Cathedral of San Donnino), left portal, tympanum. In the pediment, from the left, three scenes can be read: Emperor Charlemagne, with a man-at-arms to his right;
Pope Adrian II who offers the archpriest of San Donnino the mitre and the pastoral staff (symbols of episcopal dignity); the miracle of the healed sick man (miracle performed by San Donnino).
In the acroterion on the tympanum, a character is depicted, probably Oberto II Pallavicino, a leader placed by Frederick II of Swabia at the helm of the city from 1249 to 1268.
Work by Benedetto Antelami and workshop.
