Fidenza, cathedral (Cathedral of San Donnino), sculptures between the main portal and the left one:
Detail of the capital with “Daniel in the lions’ den”. The figurative semi-capital that depicts on the front the biblical scene – of Christological symbolism – of the prophet Daniel who, thrown into the den, is surrounded by tamed lions. On the right side of the semi-capital is depicted the prophet Habakkuk with food for Daniel and on the left side the angel who brought him (Dn 14,33-38). On the abacus of the semi-capital is engraved in capital letters the inscription: […]C DANIEL IVSTUS INLA EST CV LEONV[M] ([Abacu]c . Daniel iustus in lacu est cum leonum).
