Fidenza, cathedral (Cathedral of San Donnino), sculptures between the main portal and the left one:
Detail of “Saint Simon the Apostle showing the way to Rome to pilgrims”; the statue holds in his hands a phylactery that unfolds downwards on which the inscription is engraved in capital letters: S.IMO / APLS / EUDI / ROMA / SCDS / MON / A[…]RAT / HAC / VIAM (Simon Apostolus eundi Romam demonstrat hanc viam).
The statue surmounts the capital with “Daniel in the lions’ den”.
