Caption
“The Last Supper”, by Andrea del Sarto, fresco (525x871 cm), datable to 1511-1527. The work is preserved in the refectory of the monastery near the church of San Salvi in Florence. Detail of one of the medallions of the arch representing the Trinity through "the Trifrons", one of the symbols of fervent spirituality reintroduced by Savonarola.
Andrea del Sarto probably painted the medallions of the arch with the help of his workshop colleague Franciabigio.
