Sassuolo, Palazzo Ducale Estense, Galleria di Bacco: "Bacco fa il suo ingresso trionfale a Tebe”. Il finto arazzo rappresenta un paesaggio con alberi dominato dalla magniloquente architettura della porta di Tebe. Bacco, su di un elefante preceduto da una corte, sta entrando trionfalmente nella città. Si tratta di uno dei quarantuno riquadri con scene dipinte da Jean Boulanger che narrano le vicende di Bacco. Dipinto murale a tempera, 1650 - 52.

Sassuolo, Este Ducal Palace, the Bacchus Gallery: "Bacchus makes his triumphal entry into Thebes”. The faux tapestry represents a landscape with trees dominated by the grandiloquent architecture of the gate of Thebes. Bacchus, on an elephant preceded by a court, is triumphantly entering the city. It is one of the forty-one panels with scenes painted by Jean Boulanger which narrate the events of Bacchus. Wall tempera painting, 1650 - 52.
