Sassuolo, Palazzo Ducale Estense, Galleria di Bacco: "Bacco doma la tigre che la persecutrice Giunone gli ha mandato contro”. L'arazzo raffigurante un paesaggio fluviale dominato da un grande albero al centro, è sollevato da un putto a sinistra che indica la scena. In primo piano Bacco a cavalcioni della tigre che gli ha inviato Giunone. La dea osserva la scena dalle nubi. Si tratta di uno dei quarantuno riquadri con scene dipinte da Jean Boulanger che narrano le vicende di Bacco. Dipinto murale a tempera, 1650 - 52.

Sassuolo, Este Ducal Palace, the Bacchus Gallery: "Bacchus tames the tiger that the persecutor Juno sent against him". The faux tapestry depicting a river landscape dominated by a large tree in the centre, is raised by a putto on the left who indicates the scene. In the foreground Bacchus astride the tiger that Juno sent him. The goddess observes the scene from the clouds. It is one of the forty-one panels with scenes painted by Jean Boulanger which narrate the events of Bacchus. Wall tempera painting, 1650 - 52.
