Sassuolo, Palazzo Ducale Estense, Galleria di Bacco: "La Marcia verso l'Egitto”. Il finto arazzo, che rappresenta un paesaggio dominato da una roccia, è sollevato sulla sinistra da un putto e da una scimmia. In primo piano Bacco con alcune figure osserva il lungo corteo del suo seguito che si inerpica su una strada. Si tratta di uno dei quarantuno riquadri con scene dipinte da Jean Boulanger che narrano le vicende di Bacco. Dipinto murale a tempera, 1650 - 52.

Sassuolo, Este Ducal Palace, the Bacchus Gallery: "The March to Egypt”. The faux tapestry which represents a landscape dominated by a rock, is lifted on the left by a putto and a monkey. In the foreground Bacchus with some figures observes the long procession of his retinue which climbs up a road. It is one of the forty-one panels with scenes painted by Jean Boulanger which narrate the events of Bacchus. Wall tempera painting, 1650 - 52.
