Nel dado, l’arme Piccolomini sormontata dalla tiara pontificia fra due putti reggi stemma.

The Piccolomini Library, south-west wall: pilaster between the eighth scene and the ninth scene of the ten stories about Aeneas Sylvius Piccolomini, future Pope Pius II, (1503 - 1508), frescoes by Bernardino di Betto, known as Pinturicchio. In the dado, the Piccolomini emblem surmounted by the papal tiara and supported by two putti.
