Cathedral of Monreale: view of the apse with the Byzantine mosaics executed between the twelfth and mid-thirteenth century by partly local and partly Venetian workers, including the famous Christ Pantocrator; below the silver altar made in 1771, executed by the Roman silversmith Luigi Valadier on commission of the archbishop Francesco Testa. The six gilded silver statues represent Santa Rosalia, San Benedetto, San Paolo, San Pietro, San Castrense, San Luigi IX.
