Montefalco, Church of St. Claire, Chapel of St. Claire: "Crucifixion", painted in 1333 by the first Master of St. Clare of Montefalco. The painting is based on the gospels of Luke and John. In the lower right corner the kneeling client, Jean D'Amiel, rector of the Duchy of Spoleto, sad St. John the Evangelist and a centurion. On the left the suffering Madonna and, at the feet of the Cross, Magdalene.
