Men of the Reich Labour Service as honorary guard at the exhibition "The Street" in Munich in 1934 (undated). The Reich Labour Service was founded in 1935 under the impression of unemployment and obliged all Germans from the age of 18 to 25 to a period of six months of labour service. After the beginning of the war, the obligated men were deployed as construction troops of the Wehrmacht.
