The main connecting street between North and South Vietnam was a strategic target of many air raids.
The United States of America flew about 2,000 air attacks on cities and targets in North Vietnam during the "Christmas bombings" in 1972.
The peace agreement was signed on the 27th of January in 1973 in Paris.
