Motive from the Eastern front / Latvia from the 21st of july in 1941.
The German attack of the Soviet Union was going under the alias "Operation Barbarossa" and started on the 22nd of June in 1941.
Whereas German troops were at first welcomed by the population, hatred developed later and off-loaded in a brutal guerilla war.
