Albrecht Kauw, known as le Vieux (Strasbourg, 1621 - Bern, 1681)

This painting was created after the work by Niklaus Manuel entitled, the "Dance of Death," made between 1516 and 1526 at the Dominican Convent cemetery in Bern. It was destroyed in 1660.
