Made for concerts at sea, the instrument invented in 1997 by Frenchman Michel Payet, with Giovanni Orefice (INSA in Lyons),produces sounds that carry over 10 km. Composed of 13 horns (600 kg of copper), a two-ton compressor and a remote control keyboard, it delivers over 130 decibels per horn.
