The Gänseliesel fountain is a market and ornamental fountain on the market square in front of the Old Town Hall in the city centre of Göttingen in Lower Saxony. The fountain with a Gänseliesel as a fountain figure was erected in 1901 and is considered a landmark of the city. Colloquially, the entire fountain is known as the Gänseliesel, Göttingen cityscape, Göttingen, Lower Saxony, Germany
