As part of the Smart City model project, several measurement points are being set up in Dresden's main transport network. Axle load sensors, contact loops and temperature sensors are placed on the road. They record data, such as the weight of the passing vehicles. The technology for such a measuring point is currently being installed on the B170/ Bergstraße in the direction of the city between Kohlenstraße/Südhöhe. The data can then be used to create model calculations for road conditions and the necessary maintenance intervals. An employee from Kistler uses a measuring bar, Dresden, Saxony, Germany
