Minister President Michael Kretschmer attended the ceremony for the new microelectronics pilot line APECS and gave a welcoming address The Free State of Saxony is funding the pilot line with 38 million euros. During the ceremony, Minister President Kretschmer handed over a symbolic cheque to the four Saxon Fraunhofer Institutes involved. The APECS pilot line is an important component of the EU Chips Act to drive innovation and increase research and production capacities for semiconductors in Europe, Dresden, Saxony, Germany
