The state capital Dresden and SachsenEnergie have commissioned a digitally controlled district heating network with a modular large heat pump in Dresden-Friedrichstadt. The plant uses environmental heat and, thanks to intelligent control, feeds it into the district around Behringstraße as needed. Each year, around 2, 100 megawatt hours of renewable heat are to be transferred to Dresden's district heating network and save around 273 tons of CO2. Wärmeverteilstation, Dresden, Saxony, Germany
