Hagen, Herdecke, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany - The Hengsteysee is a reservoir completed in 1929 and operated by the Ruhrverband in the course of the Ruhr between the cities of Hagen, Dortmund and Herdecke in the Ruhr area. It is one of the six Ruhr reservoirs and is named after the neighbouring Hagen district of Hengstey. The RWE pumped storage power station in the background
